What the HGV Technician could expect:
Ou client is currently seeking an experienced and reliable PSV Engineer to join our team in Hayes on a full-time basis. This is a day shift role with no weekend working, offering a stable schedule and a competitive salary of 50,000 per year. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of public service vehicles (PSVs) to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:

Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on PSVs and buses
Perform fault diagnostics using appropriate tools and systems
Ensure all vehicles meet DVSA standards and company safety policies
Conduct MOT preparations and associated remedial work
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance schedules
Provide support for vehicle breakdowns as required during shift hours

Requirements of the HGV Technician:

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Proven experience working as a PSV, HGV, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Valid UK driving licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
